When two PeaceWheel drivers pass within 80 meters and 8 seconds, the engine logs an encounter. A low-profile haptic chime confirms the wave.
Anonymous by Default
The encounter logs only the vehicle description: "White JL Rubicon". Your exact coordinates, route, and identity remain strictly private.
Consensual Wave Back
When you're parked, tap Wave Back. Only if both drivers choose to wave back are your first name, handle, and Jeep photo mutually unlocked.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to tap my screen every time I wave?
No. PeaceWheel is completely passive while driving. You start your drive before pulling out, mount your phone, and keep your hands on the wheel. Encounters and waves are detected automatically.
Can other drivers see my live location or route?
Never. Live vehicle locations and routes are never shown to any other user. The server calculates proximity anonymously and stores only a rough 5-kilometer region for the historical wave log.
What does another driver see when we pass?
They see only your vehicle description (for example, "Granite Crystal JL Rubicon") and the time of the pass. Your first name, handle, and vehicle photo are only shared if both of you tap "Wave Back" after the drive.
What Jeep models are supported?
Every generation: Wrangler (JL, JK, TJ, YJ), Gladiator (JT), Cherokee (XJ, KL), Grand Cherokee (WL, WK2, WK, WJ, ZJ), Liberty, Compass, Renegade, Commander, and classic CJs. If your Jeep is custom or unique, select "Other" to describe your build.
What permissions does the app require?
PeaceWheel asks for standard "While Using" location access to match encounters during active drives. It does not require "Always" location access. Push notifications are optional and used solely to alert you when a driver waves back.
